Bless NZ Chicks!

Posted by Admin under: Health; Science.

According to Stuff.co.nz,

Dating culture is dead - instead, young New Zealand women are regularly getting drunk and cruising around in packs looking for men to have sex with. The programme makers did the story after Kiwi women last year topped the Durex Sexual Wellbeing Global Survey as the world’s most promiscuous.

Time to book a trip! Bless those slutty NZ girls!

8.2 Seconds Needed to Fall in Love

Posted by Admin under: Science.

According to The Telegraph,

Men’s duration of gaze on a woman indicates degree of interest:

The longer a man’s gaze rests on a woman when they meet for the first time, the more interested he is. If it last just four seconds, he may not be all that impressed. But if it breaks the 8.2 second barrier, he could already be in love they say. The researchers believe that men use eye contact to seek out fit and fertile mates.

However, women don’t hold the same pattern:

The female students, however, looked at the actors for the same length of time. …Women are more wary of attracting unwanted attention because of the risks of unwanted pregnancy and single parenthood.

No Women’s Lib Among Gypsies

Posted by Admin under: Economics; Science.

According to Daily Mail,

Dressed in their finest clothes and gold jewellery, thousands of teenage Roma girls were paraded around by their parents this weekend - at an open-air brides market. Wearing lots of make-up, the teenagers came to the traditional annual market in Bulgaria, hoping to find a husband  - and preferably one willing to pay a large amount of money for his future spouse.

Looks like Women’s Lib never made it to the Gypsies!

Expat Dating Market in Decline

Posted by Admin under: Economics; Science.

According to Asia Times:

According to two recent nationwide surveys by the matchmaking website hongniang.com, mainland women keen on finding a foreign partner plunged from 42% to 16% over the past year. For that dramatic decline, you can blame the financial crisis, which has made Western society - especially its male avatars - look unstable to Chinese women considering their romantic (which tends to be intimately linked to their financial) future.
